Hanging Baskets 2011
On Friday 16th June our hanging baskets finally arrived. This year we have a record total of 22 baskets. This year for a small extra charge we are providing a watering service for those who require it. Below is our new water trolley on it first outing.
Nestbox Report Final
Well this is the last report I will be able to do before they fledge. Since I last reported there have been a number of tragedies and we are down to just 3 and one is very much weaker than the other two.
I am fairly confident they will all be off into the wide world before the end of the week. I know that only one in ten baby tits survive until the next year, but I did not realize that the mortality rate in the nestbox could be so high. Hopefully I can do it again next year but with colour and sound.
Nestbox Report 9th May
We still think we have about 7 babies. As you can see the feathers are coming and their eyes are opening. The parents seem pretty busy feeding and removing the faeces.
